Sometimes good ideas just fall in your lap

i thought my first photo story project would be about bio-degradable plastic bags. the bags the big supermarkets are not giving out. it's been an irritant having those green plastic bags shoved at me. I especially hate the lies that they're so much better. To my way of thinking the best grocery bag is either made of paper from plantation wood pulp or a bio-degradable plastic bag. I like plastic bags, and i use them over and over. They become freezer bags, ice packs, salad holders, and of course, trash bags. They are just the right size to allow the trash to go out daily with nothing left to attract roaches. i hate roaches.

last night i received an email from a city council member that i had asked to look into the shock pool/gym fees at victoria park. This reply has had me looking at a different subject. my original complaint was that a $200 increase almost doubled the cost of using the gym. what justification, i wondered, nothing has changed, no improvement have been made. It's still the same, small, underequipted gym. the pool is still the same outdoor pool with just 2 lanes for 'play'. There's no hydro pool, or waves, or play area.

The response from the pool honchos is mostly crap with a couple of valid points being made. Actually the two responses are largely lies. okay, i've said it. they are just justifing the increase, so the best response i can think of is using photo story to show the differences in the places they compare our pool with, to show that there really is no comparison.

Today, my iphone and i will seek out good images, ones that will tell the true story. Now i go forth.
